>It’s been a stinker of a day – the type where your insides ooze out a little, even as you resolve to hold your walls fast and not let anything out. My heart’s a little broken. I always say that each time my little snow globe of a life settles down, God gets to shaking it back up on me. For once I was wanting a little shaking; the universe answered “nope.” And it sucks, if you want to know the truth.
But upon reading this evening, I came across this quote:
There’s no trouble in this world so serious that it can’t be cured with a hot bath, a glass of whiskey and the Book of Common Prayer.
I laughed, which was a start, and now I’m thinking of heading for the bath with that very book and perhaps a glass of something other than whiskey – but close. I don’t know if it’ll cure, per se – I think I’m bound to be a walking black and blue mark for a while – but it should help, at the least.
