>i’ve got a crush on you, sweetie pie

Dear Snook:

Now, I know this is probably pretty odd coming from a 30 year old woman as opposed to the preschooler girls you normally hear from, but I am swallowing my pride to admit it – I have a crush on you.

Yeah, Olive loves Curious George, and he’s all right – but you? You have that dreamy voice, that mellow attitude, those big, soft paws… How can Barney or Clifford compare? You can sing me to sleep anytime, big boy. I like sharing my corner of the Big Big World with you.

See, most of the characters have these annoying nasal voices and crazy-making giggles (see Barney for that one) that make me want to pull my hair out. Honestly, even the other characters of your show can be a little irritating (like that anteater? What’s up with him?), but you start talking and it’s like the world melts away. I can curl up with my cup of tea and my little girl and relax for a whole half hour of uninterrupted tv time with no hesitation. And THAT, my friend, is worth its weight in gold.

So, all to say – I love you. You can come over every day at 10:30 – my husband won’t know.

Love,
Elle
